Does the City spray for mosquitos and can I opt out? Email received 2/13/2025: “Regarding exemptions to Mosquito Spraying, we do not deviate from our routes on spraying. But if there was a notable area where this would damage the livelihood of the property owner, I could speak with our Public Works Director about it. We would try to be reasonable.”
If a nuisance was called: Staff would interpret complaints upon request.
Additional Notes: “Your mileage may vary.” Author strongly suggests calling city staff for assistance as it stated that beekeeping has not been considered deeply. When asked to interpret the lack of regulation as permissive or prohibitive, a borderline response was given. Staff was very hesitant to reply to research request and be part of BeeLaws.org.
